Strengthen Body Performance Through A Body Cleanse
By Christian Little • Mar 7th, 2010 • Category: ARGH!, UncategorizedFor many people, the idea of a body cleanse might sound intimidating or even all little off-putting. Think about it for a minute; the word “cleanse” itself might give the impression that all kinds of body waste is eliminated or sucked from the body in some way. The reality, though, is that a body cleanse can do the body good in returning to it an ideal level of health in a number of non-threatening ways.
A serious cleansing of the body involves what’s called a “full body detoxification. This is aimed at eliminating various harmful chemicals or toxins stored in the body that might be responsible for headaches, fatigue and nausea. And though there are a variety of body cleanse techniques, the most common method is actually fairly simple in that a person tries to give up a processed foods, caffeine, white flour and various dairy products.
Given that a cleanse is basically detoxification, it is highly recommended that any use of drugs and alcohol be stopped as soon as possible, including smoking of cigarettes. This is because they contain a wide variety of substances that are harmful to the body and need to be eliminated in their own right before an effective detox program can begin.
Just about every expert on the subject of cleansing recommends as well that an effective way to start out cleansing is to do so in a gradual manner. In fact, short-duration fasts seem to show great success. Cutting out all red meats (and all meat, in fact, if possible) along with caffeinated drinks and processed foods and most anything contain sugar, is also important. Fruits and organic juices, water, grains and raw, uncooked vegetable should be substituted.
Keep in mind that modern food makes use of many chemicals and preservatives, in addition to artificial coloring and flavoring. These foods tend to leave toxins and chemicals in the body that don’t usually (at first) actively or significantly impair daily function. But, a person will certainly feel something once they start withdrawing from foods that are heavy in all these chemicals.
The most essential elements in any effective cleanse regimen are fruits and vegetables, along with healthy amounts of whole grains and plenty of water. The last is the single most important component of any diet practice, by the way. And though all humans require a certain minimum amount of water, levels vary from person-to-person within a range. In order to cleanse effectively, drink it regularly and in spring or purified form.
Many diet experts are somewhat divided on just how much water to drink on a daily basis. The general rule is about eight glasses per day, with eight ounces per glass being the norm. However, given that many raw fruits and vegetables contain a good deal of water within them, it may be possible to get away with four or five glasses when the cleansing diet is high in those two food types.
When an effective body cleanse is undertaken in an intelligent and well thought-out manner, it’s possible to improve life functions over time and with noticeable effectiveness. There are several quality programs and regimens that exist that can deliver desired results. After body cleanse, keep in mind that any new maintenance diet be high in plenty of pure water, vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
