You can avail of many advantages if you choose an oil filled radiator. Because they are so compact they are one of the better choices for smaller spaces. They are safe for use in households with children or pets and they are energy efficient.

But what is the best choice of oil filled radiator? Your exact requirements will dictate which type of oil filled radiator you choose. Each oil filled radiator has different features that may or may not be suitable for you. For example some have wheels and some just have stable feet in place. If you want to be able to move your radiator around then one fitted with wheels would be the best choice. But if you want a heater for one room only and do not want small children to be able to push it then one with feet would be a better choice. If you want added security and stability then you can opt for a wall mounted radiator instead.

It is important to know that oil filled radiators use electricity to power them and the oil inside them is heated up. Oil is not burned and is not used to power the radiators. So any type of oil filled radiator that you buy will need to be placed near to an electricity socket. A wall mountable radiator will be fitted in one location and will not be able to move. But at least you will not have any stray power leads which could cause accidents. A mobile radiator on the other hand may have safety implications if the power cable is left straying across the floor.
