Oil is a vital part of the manufacturing industry and there is huge demand for it here. Oil is required to power many of the large machines and furnaces necessary in this industry. Demand for oil from the manufacturing industry is huge as it is one of the biggest users of this fuel. Oil prices have a profound affect on the profits of many businesses in this industry. Many industries can be seriously affected when oil prices rise. Because of this there have been some concerns among those in the manufacturing industry about the wave of freezing cold weather which has swept the northern hemisphere.

The price of oil has been affected because of the cold weather as there has been an increased demand for oil and oil products. When oil is in high demand the prices rise and this is always a concern for the manufacturing industry as profits are affected by the cost of oil.

There were already some concerns about the high demand for oil from the manufacturing industry which is continually increasing. Because many oil refineries did not foresee these increased demands, they have not been quick enough to produce more oil and this is could be a worry if the supplies cannot meet the demand. The cold weather has led to a reduction in the already low oil reserves.

There have been many predictions that 2010 could see further increases in the cost of a barrel of oil. This has led to those within the manufacturing industry fearing for their businesses. If oil prices continue to rise there could be many businesses that are forced to close as it will become too expensive to carry on production.

In order to prevent this problem from escalating, there will need to be something done sooner rather than later. The development of alternative fuels is already being looked at but will it be too late for some.

Getting the home heated up during winter can be very expensive. Electricity and gas prices are very high and show no signs of coming down any time soon. Clever people are switching to heating oil as a fuel though. When they do they always need their tanks filled with Boilerjuice to ensure they never run out.
